Peer Review Policy
The Journal of Smart Computing and Data Intelligence (JSCDI) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic quality, research integrity, and scholarly excellence through a rigorous and transparent peer review process. JSCDI adopts a Double-Blind Peer Review System, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. Double-Blind Peer Review
Under the double-blind peer review model:
• The identities of authors are concealed from reviewers.
• The identities of reviewers are concealed from authors.
This review model helps maintain fairness and prevents bias related to the author’s institution, nationality, gender, academic reputation, or personal background.
Peer review is an essential component of scholarly publishing and serves to:
• Ensure the quality, originality, and credibility of research
• Improve the clarity, accuracy, and scientific validity of manuscripts

Manuscript Evaluation Process
All manuscripts submitted to JSCDI undergo a structured editorial and peer-review process consisting of the following stages.
1. Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission, manuscripts are first evaluated by the Editorial Office and Editor-in-Chief to determine whether they:
• Fall within the scope of the journal
• Meet the required quality and formatting standards
• Comply with the journal’s ethical and publication policies
• Pass plagiarism and similarity screening
Manuscripts that do not satisfy these requirements may be returned to authors for necessary corrections or rejected without external peer review.
2. Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism and similarity checking using appropriate detection tools to ensure originality and compliance with ethical publishing standards.
Manuscripts containing unacceptable similarity levels, copied content, fabricated information, manipulated data, or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected according to the journal’s Plagiarism Policy and Publication Ethics Guidelines.
3. External Peer Review
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial assessment are forwarded for independent peer review by at least two qualified experts in the relevant research domain.
Reviewers are selected based on:

• Reviewing experience and competence
In special circumstances, the Editor-in-Chief may appoint additional reviewers when further technical evaluation is required.
4. Reviewer Evaluation Criteria

5. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer reports and editorial evaluation, the Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Board may make one of the following decisions:
• Accept the manuscript
• Accept with minor revisions
• Request major revisions and resubmission
• Reject the manuscript
The final decision regarding publication rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board.
Review Timeframe
JSCDI aims to complete the peer review process within approximately 1 to 3 weeks from the date of manuscript submission.
However, the actual review duration may vary depending on:
• Availability and response time of reviewers
• Complexity and technical nature of the manuscript
• Number and extent of revisions required
Authors will be informed about the progress and final outcome of the review process through official editorial communication.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts submitted to JSCDI are treated as strictly confidential documents.
Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff must not disclose any information related to submitted manuscripts to unauthorized individuals except where necessary for the peer review and publication process.
Reviewers must not use unpublished information, research ideas, methodologies, results, or data obtained through manuscript evaluation for personal research, competitive advantage, or any unauthorized purpose.
Ethical Considerations
The editorial team of JSCDI follows internationally recognized ethical standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.
If any concerns related to plagiarism, duplicate submission, fabricated data, manipulated results, authorship disputes, conflicts of interest, or unethical research practices are identified during the review process, the manuscript will be investigated according to the journal’s Publication Ethics, Plagiarism, and Retraction Policies.
Depending on the severity of the issue, appropriate actions may include:
• Rejection of the manuscript
• Request for clarification or corrections
• Retraction of published articles
• Notification to affiliated institutions or funding organizations
• Restriction of future submissions
